A Prototype Spider-Man Game Made in Unreal Engine 5

Spidey has joined Superman in the family of UE5-powered superheroes.

Earlier this month, Technical Artist Vladimir Cazacu and Unreal Generalist Tyson Butler-Boschma demonstrated amazing Superman game prototypes made using Unreal Engine 5 and Epic Games' City Sample. Now, the family of UE5-powered superheroes has been joined by Spider-Man, who was integrated into the engine by an Unreal Engine enthusiast who goes by the name of dwr.

Using the same toolset and asset pack, dwr managed to set up a cool-looking game prototype with Spidey as the main character. The character is shown to be able to crawl and run up the walls, fly around the city using the web, and jump from building to building in a typical Spider-Man style. The artist commented that animations come from Lewis Fiford's 2020 Spider-Man project for Unreal Engine 4.

What's more, the project is free to download and can be accessed here. Please note that much like Tyson's Superman, the project is quite demanding in terms of hardware.

Yep. Same as the superman demo. Just using the matrix demo but superimposing a super hero. Not really a game is it?
