A Stylized 2D Shader Made in Unreal Engine 5

The project was created by Delphine Decuyper to research hand-drawn shaders.

Have a look at this beautiful stylized hand-drawn shader made by 3D Generalist Delphine Decuyper. The project is called Giant's Resting Place and, according to the artist, was made to learn how to create 2D hand-drawn looks in 3D. The project's description states that the artist used 3ds Max, Substance 3D Painter, and Unreal Engine 5 to create the shader.

"I’ve always been fond of 2D hand-drawn games. However, I found that styles like these are a bit harder to find in the 3D world and so I decided to do my graduation work on this topic," commented Delphine.

Here are some of the renders and a WiP GIF shared by the artist:

And here's a marvelous concept by Oswaldo KATO that was used for the project.
