Helena Hansen delights us with her new stylized environment powered by Unreal Engine.
3D Environment Artist Helena Hansen has once again taken us out of reality and into the whimsical world of digital environment art, unveiling a new stylized 3D scene that makes you wish you could become digital yourself only to explore it firsthand.
Featuring a cozy, relaxing atmosphere, Helena's latest work depicts a charming mushroom house hidden within a mysterious fantasy forest inspired by Studio Ghibli's timeless masterpieces. To bring the environment to life, the artist utilized a combination of ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter, and Unreal Engine, along with DF Productions' SkyCard for the clouds and MWallace3D's Beefy Blackbirds for the bird particles.
Besides being a talented Environment Artist, Helena also knows her way around digital characters, having previously shared a lengthy breakdown explaining how to get as much control over skin shading as possible using Unreal Engine 5 only.
And prior to that, the creator showcased her expertise with shaders, presenting an incredibly subtle and realistic rain shader that allowed her to create raindrops on a character and make these drops dry out after some time.
