The development team behind Brickadia, a multiplayer brick-building sandbox game currently in development, has shared a new demo trailer for their upcoming title, showcasing the advanced collision detection physics they have set up for the game.
Achieved with Unreal Engine 5, the new physics will allow Brickadia players to "build and edit movable physics contraptions of epic scale", with the game's objects responding to collisions in a lifelike manner. What's more, the team has published a comprehensive devlog, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the system, discussing custom spatial indices, memory management, and performance, and explaining how the system handles thousands of dynamic objects. The game itself is set to be released on Q3 2023, you can learn more about Brickadia and wishlist the game by visiting its official Steam page.
