Meet OniStep, a WiP AI that can show you where exactly you should click to do anything in Unity.
Despite the prevailing hostility among many 3D Artists and Game Developers towards AI-involved projects, there are still some who believe that humans can employ machines in their artistic pipelines, actively working on various AI systems that aim to streamline the production process significantly.
One such project was recently showcased by Reddit user Embarrassed-Cicada94, who shared an insightful behind-the-scenes demo providing a look at a neat WiP artificial intelligence that can help beginners get the hang of Unity.
Meet OniStep, an upcoming ChatGPT-like virtual assistant that knows everything there is to know about Unity Technologies' flagship engine. All users need to do is input a task they want to accomplish, and OniStep guides them in real-time, showing precisely where to click in order to achieve it. Notably, the AI employs text and image recognition, making it adaptable even if the engine's UI undergoes changes while still functioning flawlessly.
"Adopt our virtual assistant to be guided in real-time on all your computer tools," comments the team. "Our virtual assistant guides you in real-time. No matter the task, OS, or software. It shows you where to click and what to type, step by step. Our integrated AI listens to your requests in the language of your choice and automatically creates the tutorial you need."
