A recent social media post from the official Guild Wars accounts has sparked quite a bit of excitement, suggesting that ArenaNet will make a big announcement during Summer Game Fest, and fans are hoping it's Guild Wars 3.

Another post from ArenaNet has added to the speculation: its wording makes it hard not to think some completely new Guild Wars entry is on the way. Of course, some remain sceptical and suggest it could just be another expansion. However, Visions of Eternity was only released at the end of last year, so it would feel a little early for ArenaNet to be announcing another one.

Apparently, ArenaNet partners have also been receiving teaser materials in the mail, all pointing to the same date:

Interestingly, ArenaNet isn't denying anything, and as PC Gamer reported, when asked directly whether the teaser was for Guild Wars 3, ArenaNet responded with an official "no comment."
