Artist Presents New Type of Infected Inspired by The Last of Us

Luke Starkie knows a lot about frightening creatures.

The Last of Us shows several types of infected monsters, and Creature Designer Luke Starkie has one more to add. Meet Bloomer – a horrifying TLOU-inspired enemy that could fit right in there.

Similar to Bloaters and Clickers, this monster has fungus-like appendages growing from the head and back, reminiscent of grotesque wings, created with ZBrush, Blender, and Photoshop.

Starkie is a master of horror: his ArtStation portfolio is full of chilling creatures, with teeth and bones protruding from all kinds of places. There are also some unusual animals in his distinct style.
