Game Artist Paul Ruano-Borbalan has paid tribute to one of 2024's most acclaimed video games Marvel Rivals, showcasing a neat recreation of the game's white rim light effect made using Blender Eevee over the weekend.
According to the creator, the camera-based setup is powered by the software's Geometry and Shader nodes and mixed with fake chromatic aberration, involving no actual lighting. Besides Blender, Paul also used a combination of 3D Coat and Photoshop to set up the character's hand-painted textures.
