Artist Shows Procedural House Generation with Houdini Engine & Unreal

Learn how Hugo Beyer crafted the setup.

3D Artist Hugo Beyer showcased this impressive project – a process of creating an environment with the House Gen HDA inside Unreal. 

The artist also created a custom parameter editor for Houdini Engine to support the project's workflow. The setup is entirely procedural, with all controls capable of reaching higher levels of complexity, allowing for greater customization.

As shared by the artist, props, beams, and a few other elements are instanced, while others are set as Nanite – though the artist noted they could be converted to Nanite as well. Have a closer look at the environment and the WIP shots:
