Reportedly, the title has already earned its creators more than $350 million.
Besides marking the strongest launch in the series' history and "resurrecting" the franchise as a whole in the eyes of many, it appears that Battlefield 6 is also on its way to becoming one of the most profitable video games of 2025, with analysts estimating it has already sold over 7 million copies in its first week, showing no significant signs of slowing down.
According to Alinea Analytics, which shared its findings with GamesIndustry.biz, it took the latest Battlefield installment just five days to surpass the 7 million sales milestone. For comparison, Battlefield 5 only reached that number after its first two months and failed to meet EA's expectations at the time – not unlike Battlefield 2042, which also disappointed the publisher, though its exact sales figures were never disclosed.
Taking into account BF6's $70 retail price, the $100 Phantom Edition, and deducting fees, Alinea estimates the game has so far generated roughly $350 million in gross revenue, outperforming nearly every other release this year, with the sole exception being EA Sports FC 26, which sold 7.7 million copies over the same period since launch.
They further estimate that more than half of total sales came from Steam, with over 3.5 million copies sold and $220 million in revenue. PlayStation accounted for 23.7% of sales, surpassing 1.5 million copies, and Xbox represented 19.6% of total sales, amounting to over 1.2 million copies. In terms of player distribution, over half were on Steam with 3.8 million, followed by roughly a quarter on PlayStation with 1.8 million, and about 20% on Xbox with 1.4 million.
Moreover, while the hype around the game has died down a little bit, BF6 still doesn't show any noteworthy signs of losing its stride, consistently averaging well over 400K concurrent players on Steam each day.
With the devs confirming that new maps and modes – including Battle Royale that many gamers crave specifically for some reason – will arrive over the coming months, it appears there will be plenty of fresh content to sustain BF6's momentum, suggesting the latest installment could end up becoming the most successful one in Battlefield's history.
