Beautifully Detailed Picturesque Fortress-City Created in 3D
Max Bedulenko used Blender to enrich his Velvet Road world.
Max Bedulenko finished another grand piece of his Velvet Road series: Baj-Asthar is a fortress-city that will impress you with the details that the creator put in every corner of the scene, the stone, gold, and fabrics that were made in Blender but look as if they were painted by an ancient artist.
Velvet Road is a collection of scenes in his own interpretation of the ancient Silk Road, "a fictional trade route that links many imaginary civilizations into a single cultural hub."
Bedulenko noted that the modular pack he created with the Forma 3D team really helped him craft this environment.
You might actually know him for his futuristic works, quite different from Velvet Road, like this steampunk vision of the Byzantine Empire or his Bioshock Infinite-inspired world. These and more can be found on his ArtStation and X/Twitter.
