A now-mandatory performance test was shared by Francesco Piacenti.
Francesco Piacenti, aka FR3NKD, may have started a new tradition with major Blender releases. He shared a sculpting performance test for Blender 4.5 when Vulkan support finally arrived, and has now repeated the test for Blender 5.0, released earlier this week.
Here, he's working with 50 million triangles in Blender 5.0 using Vulkan, with no apparent performance issues. Francesco is using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 paired with an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, and demonstrates Clay from his collection of over 30 hand-crafted matcaps.
