Blender 5.1 Beta Tested With DLSS Denoising
Check out Blake Propst's experiment and give it a try yourself.
DLSS support in Blender has been highly anticipated ever since its showcase at SIGGRAPH 2025, and it looks like it's finally on the horizon. Blender Artist Blake Propst recently tested a build of Blender 5.1 with DLSS on an RTX 3090, and while there are still numerous bugs and visual issues, this is still a huge progress.

As Blake noted, we definitely shouldn't expect an official release anytime soon. However, you can try the patch that adds the option to use DLSS Ray Reconstruction for viewport denoising in Cycles here. If you need guidance on getting it to work, you can also reach out to Blake for instructions.
Blender 5.1 has just entered its beta stage, and as usual, users are encouraged to test it and report any issues to help ensure a stable release next month.
