Take your part in creating a picture of the Blender community.
Blender Foundation announces its second user survey, aimed at gaining a clearer picture of the community members who use the software.
The survey's objective is to better understand community demographics, such as age group, geography, and professional background, common use cases and workflows, most wanted improvements, the ways users connect and contribute, how the community spends money, and the project's future direction.
The results of the survey will be anonymized and publicly shared in an illustrated and commented format and as a raw dataset.
Last year, more than 7,000 users took part in the survey over two weeks. The majority of respondents were from the United States, followed by India and Germany. The survey showed that almost half of the participants use experimental builds, showing a strong interest in upcoming software's features. As for the occupations, most professionals work in film and animation, followed by graphic design and game development. Check out the results of last year's study by clicking this link.
