The head of Paradox shared that the game is still in development and it's "in good hands", however, it won't be revealed at the upcoming PDXCON 2022 event.
Paradox Interactive has recently shared a brief update on its upcoming action RPG Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
When asked on Twitter whether the title is canceled or is still in development, Paradox's CEO Fredrik Wester replied that the studio is still working on the game and will share more details on it as soon as the team and the game will be ready. He later added that Bloodlines 2 is "in good hands" and the studio is looking forward to sharing more updates on it.
Wester, however, did not specify at what stage of development Bloodlines 2 is. However, he said that the game will not be shown at PDXCON 2022, which will be held from September 2 to 3, 2022 in Stockholm.
Bloodlines 2 was initially developed by Hardsuit Labs and was set to release in 2020. However, the game's release was delayed, and later, the studio was pulled from the project. Wester said that Paradox found "a new studio partner" to collaborate on the title but after that, Bloodlines 2 was postponed indefinitely.
Wester later shared that, at one point, after Paradox stopped collaborating with Hardsuit, the publisher was even close to canceling the action RPG, however, it got a "pitch" from an unnamed studio that Paradox thought "was convincing enough to run."
It is still unknown which studio is currently developing the game. However, Wester described the replacement studio as "a very reputable and talented developer."
