Buckshot Roulette Creator Shows His Development Illusions
Another gamedev hack.
Yesterday, we saw "proof #256 that gamedev is a lie" from Juancho Abad, who showed that his loading portal is just "a horn-shaped mesh spinning or scaling." The post quickly went viral, and several developers joined the trend.
One of them was Mike Klubnika, the creator of Buckshot Roulette, who offered his little "cheat": a snow cloud that secretly follows a truck model "like an irritating mosquito."
In-game, it looks like any other snowstorm, but next time you see something like that, be aware that there might be some illusions around.
Speaking of illusions, the developer of The Devil's Due, a game about playing poker in hell, also showed how not all 3D objects are actually 3D.
