Call of Duty Games Reached $30 Billion in Revenue

The franchise has sold over 425 million units and is waiting for "Warzone 2.0" to come soon after Modern Warfare II.

Activision has revealed that the Call of Duty franchise has sold over 425 million games and received over $30 billion in revenue.

Additionally, 2019's Call of Duty Mobile has been downloaded by over 650 million users.

Along with these numbers, Call of Duty’s general manager Johanna Faries shared that “Warzone 2.0” will be launched soon after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II's release on October 28. It will be an extension of that game’s universe that will reboot players' progression and inventories.

Warzone 2 will see "new technology, new features and new gameplay that work seamlessly together." It will also be available on both current- and last-generation consoles.

"Today’s ‘Warzone’ will continue on as a separate experience that will include a continuation of player progression and inventories within that ‘Warzone’ experience."

The 2020 Warzone has over 125 million players, according to Activizion. Since its release, the company has hired more specialists, so now over 3,000 people are working on the series.
