Capcom Is Focusing on Reactivating IPs That Haven't Had a Recent Launch

Capcom announced that Onimusha: Way of the Sword surpassed 1 million copies sold on the first day of its release. The game is a fantasy action-adventure that features sword-based battles, and it's set in Edo-era Kyoto.
Now, in a press release celebrating the game's success, Capcom announced that the company "is focusing on reactivating IPs that haven't had a new title launch recently."
Capcom hasn't confirmed a title yet, but during a May 2026 investor meeting, it named several franchises that are being considered for future remakes, ports, or sequels; the ones mentioned were Devil May Cry, Mega Man, Ace Attorney, and Dead Rising. Okami and Dragon's Dogma were also mentioned, but the projects for these were already in motion before the announcement.
One title fans keep asking for is Dino Crisis, but Capcom hasn't said anything about it. Even with the remastered bundle on Steam, the company doesn't seem to have plans to develop a new entry for that franchise.
