Technical Artist and the author of GPU-accelerated real-time procedural terrain placement in Unity guide Kacper Szwajka, who recently impressed us with a custom grass renderer developed for real-time strategy with dinosaurs Dinolords, unveiled a new WIP of his own game, Highland Keep, presenting the castle-building mode with a satisfying tree effect.
In the interview with us, Kacper revealed that the terrain placement technique described in his guide was primarily developed for his upcoming "The Forest meets Stronghold Crusader" Unity-powered survival-strategy game, a mix of third-person survival and classic RTS castle-building.
