However, the company cannot share anything specific about these projects just yet.
CD Projekt has recently released its financial results for the third quarter of 2022 revealing that this year's Q3 was the best financial quarter in the company's history, mostly thanks to the new wave of popularity of Cyberpunk 2077 which was driven by the release of patch 1.6 and the unprecedented success of Netflix's Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series.
During a call with investors, the company added that Edgerunners' performance exceeded its expectations. CD Projekt boasted about the anime's success recalling that it was in the list of the top 10 most viewed non-English series and movies for 4 consecutive weeks and has an average user score of 8.8 out of 10 on Metacritic.
In addition, considering the popularity of the show, the company indicated that it is interested in exploring other transmedia projects.
"We have an appetite to do more in transmedia, so in linear visual animation or live action, and those plans have not changed, so when we are ready, you may expect to see more announcements in that regard coming from us," Senior Vice President of Business Development at CD Projekt Michał Nowakowski said.
However, he noted that CD Projekt currently has nothing specific to share on either plans for the second season of the anime series or any other projects.
Previously, the company already confirmed that it is not planning to work on the continuation of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners as the anime was initially planned as a standalone project.
