Motivation intensifies as Ivailo Ivanov, a brilliant Character Artist whose works are undoubtedly familiar to 80 Level regulars, unveils a new outstanding digital portrait, this time depicting a realistic 3D reproduction of Devil May Cry 5's version of Vergil.
As explained by Ivailo, his take on the character is mostly based on Vergil's real-life prototype, Maxim Nazarov, though some artistic liberties were taken to give him a more "slick and cold" appearance, with larger eyes, more pronounced cheekbones, more defined malar fat and nose, and so on. On the technical side, the creator used ZBrush for sculpting, Texturing XYZ's assets for skin details, with manual texture work on top, and Maya for rendering.
"Now the most important part of this post," Ivailo writes. "If you know Capcom, please send them this message from me, 'Hey Capcom, it's your boy. I know you've been thinking about this DMC 3 remake. So let me help you out and send me an email. Gang Gang'."
Previously, we also highlighted the artist's fantastic 3D takes on the longest-running Victoria's Secret angel Adriana Lima, Ivailo's personal "epitome of universal beauty" Angelina Jolie, Yennefer of Vengerberg from Netflix's The Witcher, The Boys' Billy Butcher as portrayed by Karl Urban, Game of Thrones' Tywin Lannister, Bulgaria's national hero Vasil Levski, and more.
