Check Out Cool Time-Bending Mechanic in an Indie 3D Puzzle Platformer

Change the time flow by moving backwards and forwards and replay the situations until you achieve the outcome you need.

kaleidoscube, the developers behind the upcoming time-travel puzzle adventure RECUR, have released a new gameplay trailer that demonstrates a mind-blowing mechanic where the main character, Peter, manipulates time to generate diverse outcomes from the same situation.

In the trailer, Peter needs to escape from a roof, but the passage is blocked by two criminals fighting. He must devise a way to get past them by changing the placement of objects in the setting – removing or adding them in the past – so that the situation changes depending on what exists in the present. By moving backward, Peter travels to the past, and the situation reverses; by moving forward, it unfolds again.

The game's story offers a larger and more complicated task: reversing the end of the world. By traveling in time, Peter the postman can control its flow and solve problems, change outcomes, and uncover secrets on his way to saving the world.
