Check Out Interactive Stickers with Fake 3D Effect Made in Godot
Game Developer Sol used shaders in this 3D-looking setup.
If you have been a fan of collecting cool stationery in your school years, including cute notebooks and, of course, stickers, you will like this cool project from Game Developer Sol.
The artist crafted interactive digital stickers using the Godot engine that can be attached or removed just like regular stickers, with satisfying animations. According to the artist, they are not 3D – the setup involves sprites, and the voluminous effect is simulated by shading.
Another way to craft digital stickers is the one shown by Wes McDermott – using Substance 3D with the Custom Sticker tool. The artist shared a short tutorial:
