Gamescom Opening Night Live brought us another announcement: HoYoverse, renowned for titles such as Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero, unveiled a new mythology co-op game – Nodusfall, which is currently in development.

The RPG features a rich backstory of interconnected myths and a detailed, expansive fantasy world, altogether reminiscent of Elden Ring. HoYoverse shares that the game's lore draws on mythology from different corners of Earth. The world is populated with imaginary creatures, some inspired by Eastern folklore. Nodusfall promises new regions, cultures, and stories that unfold as players progress through the narrative.

Players take on the role of Weavers to fight powerful enemies who threaten the existence of the world. Mysterious Dreadnodus storms across the lands, spreading havoc and devastation. The game values teamwork, and players will need to collaborate in order to succeed in epic battles. The fights require adaptive tactics that change with the flow of combat.

The fantasy world, rendered in a realistic art style, is brought to the screen using Unreal Engine 5. HoYoverse hasn't shared details about the release date yet, so stay tuned for updates and further announcements.
