A behind-the-scenes look by the ACREATION team.
ACREATION, an animation production team specializing in indie anime, has recently impressed thousands of people by revealing a neat side-by-side comparison of a 2D anime sequence and the 3D reference used to create it.
For context, back in May, the team presented a slightly different but essentially the same short sequence, noting that it was set up in Clip Studio Paint and involved no rotoscoping, with the team relying solely on 3D models for reference. Fast forward a couple of months, and ACREATION has revisited the animation, this time showing its rougher 3D counterpart. According to the team, while CSP is the backbone of their 2D workflows, they use Blender to set up their 3D templates.
