Created by Edward Ureña using Blender.
Wow, the latest episode of The Amazing Digital Circus was truly something else, ramping up the tension a hundredfold and once again placing Jax at the center of everyone's attention, naturally inspiring more Digital Artists to draw inspiration from the chaotic character and depicting him in their works.
One such creator is Edward Ureña, a 3D Generalist and Illustrator, and one of the 80 Level team's favorite Riggers and Animators, who recently showcased an impressive rig of Jax's head capable of capturing the character's iconic startled expression – mouth wide-open, sharp teeth, constricted pupils, the whole nine yards. True to form, the creator utilized Blender to set up the rig.
Previously, Edward also set up a great 3D facial rig of TADC's Pomni to showcase the capabilities of Rig Creator, the artist's Blender plug-in that lets you position the bones to match the character's body and automatically apply weights.
Moreover, the plug-in features bone generators with default generators like Def Generator, FK, and Fingers, as well as an IK generator, and an intuitive and efficient list-based Constraint Panel. You can learn more and download Rig Creator here.
