The artist experimented with the felt style.
3D Artist Toquita experimented with a stylized approach, moving away from realism to craft this mesmerizing underwater setup featuring cute, felt-like fish.
Made in Blender, the piece features fluid animation with smooth, gradual movement, alongside a realistic fabric texture where individual fibers remain distinct and lifelike. The WIP footage unveils the creative process and shows how the knitted texture was visualized.

Earlier, Toquita leaned toward a realistic representation. For example, this Lego character was created mostly in Blender, with some additional work done in Maya. Texturing was done in Substance 3D Painter, rigging in Maya, and rendering in Maya with Arnold GPU:
