Check Out This Fun Mario & Luigi Animation Set Up in Maya

Mario to the rescue! Or is he?

3D Animator Lucas Rétif continues paying homage to perhaps the most iconic brotherly duo to ever exist in video games, presenting one more lighthearted and funny animation inspired by Nintendo's Super Mario Bros.

This time, the creator depicted Mario coming to Luigi's rescue with a sick 8,000-point Goomba-stomping combo, only to get them both into even more trouble. According to the creator, the animation was set up in Maya using a custom-made Luigi rig, a Mario rig by Agora Community, and the Goomba model by Maurine Poncelet, a 3D Artist who recently joined us to talk about her amazing Rabbit Warrior project – interview coming soon.

Earlier, Lucas also shared a playful animation of Mario and Waluigi taking on each other, you can check out more of the artist's projects by visiting his LinkedIn page:
