Check Out This Fun Mario & Waluigi Animation with 2D VFX

3D Animator Lucas Rétif paid homage to the Super Mario franchise by unveiling this playful animation with Mario and Waluigi, taking on each other.

Bringing the beloved Nintendo characters to life was a collaborative work. Lucas Rétif completed the modeling, texturing, and rigging of Kart and other assets and created Waluigi and Goomba rigs, with modeling and texturing done by 3D Artist Maurine Poncelet, who also shared some exciting works. Mario rig is from Agora Community.

Cartoon-style 2D VFX that create an appealing contrast with three-dimensional characters were crafted in Procreate Dreams, an animation app for iPad.
