Check Out This Great 3D Rig of Hank the Octopus from Pixar's Finding Dory

Created with Blender, the rig is set to be released later this week.

Character Modeler and Digital Sculptor Mattias Lind continues his series of Pixar-inspired 3D character models and rigs, this time recreating Hank the octopus from the studio's 2016 animated movie, Finding Dory.

Boasting incredible fluidity of movements and a model that looks nearly identical to the original, Mattias' version of Hank was set up using Blender, a popular open-source 3D software and the artist's go-to tool. Once the character's animations are polished and finalized, the author plans to share Hank with the community as a downloadable Blender character on Gumroad.

Earlier this month, Mattias also revealed a rigged 3D model of Mr. Incredible from Pixar's The Incredibles, which you can already grab for free by clicking this link. The package includes the character's model, rig, and all the corresponding textures and is compatible with Cycles and Eevee Next in Blender 4.2.
