The recently released co-op climbing sim PEAK, developed by Aggro Crab and Landfall, has reached a major milestone with 4.5 million copies sold.
Aggro Crab studio lead Nick Kaman shared (via The GameDiscoverCo) that as of July 8, the game has hit 4.5 million copies sold – less than a month after its June 16 launch, initially priced at $5 during the first week and $8 thereafter.
The game gained its popularity after launch, as there was little pre-release buzz. Kaman noted it had less than 30,000 wishlists, and the Steam page was published only about four days before the release.
According to the developers of PEAK, the top countries by player count on Steam are the United States, Russia, the U.K., China, Canada, Brazil, France, Australia, Germany, and Turkey. As of mid-last week, most players spent around 3 hours and 53 minutes in the game.
As of writing, PEAK has 39,655 reviews on Steam, 93% of which are positive, and nearly 100,000 daily concurrent players:
Among games with high player ratings, the best-rated title on Steam is the indie farming sim Stardew Valley, which recently dethroned Valve’s puzzle-platformer Portal 2.
