A few days ago, Alban Denoyel, the Co-Founder of Sketchfab, which was acquired by Epic Games in 2021, announced that he is parting ways with the company and Epic Games.

If you're not sure what Sketchfab is, let me explain you a bit. Sketchfab is an awesome platform dedicated to showcasing, sharing, exploring, purchasing, and selling 3D, VR, and AR content. On 80 Level, we covered lots of topics connected to different activities on the platform.

Speaking of Denoyel, the creator shared the following statement on LinkedIn.

"Building Sketchfab has been the adventure of a lifetime, for which I am forever grateful. The Sketchfab team is truly unique, a perfect mix of talent and kindness that I will miss. Special thanks to Cedric & Pierre-Antoine, who were great co-founders. I'm proud of what we accomplished, from a simple 3D viewer to a community of over 15M members today, and a product being integrated with the Fortnite ecosystem," wrote Denoyel.

"Being part of Epic Games was quite inspiring as well, particularly working on projects at Fortnite scale, and I'm grateful for that opportunity. I'm super bullish on the outlooks for Epic, especially as they roll out Lego Fortnite, UEFN, Fab, collaborate with Disney and come back on mobile. I'm excited to remain a supporter & shareholder from the outside. Special thanks to Marc, Sébastien & Tim for welcoming me into the Epic world."

Sharing some future plans, the creator wrote that he'd like to focus on new endeavors and start something from scratch. As for now, Denoyel is immersing into new fields "including climate tech and health, with a focus on hardware."

We wish the creator all the best and hope to see new amazing projects in the future.
