Sean Augustine March's hologram is satisfyingly realistic.
Seinfeld DVDs are not as simple as they look, at least not in Sean Augustine March's 3D work. The artist put the famous couch along with the whole room "inside" the cover so it looks like a magical hologram in a flat object.
"I used Blender’s motion tracking software. But honestly you can get great tracking with any decent tracking software as long as you are very strict with the camera settings and colors, lighting, etc. the absolute most critical thing for me was my camera settings," he shared. "In my experience, it’s 90% how you shoot it (camera, focal length, shutter speed, etc) and then the software works like magic."
Whether you like the show or not, you will be impressed by March's careful work. One of such boxes is featured in an environment you'll find familiar if you've seen his realistic workshop on 80 Level.
