CreationsOfReon shared that this project took them roughly 40 hours to complete.
Some of us need manuals for LEGO sets or IKEA furniture, but this 3D Artist built a complete X-wing from scratch in Blender. Star Wars actually has books detailing fictional spacecraft, but CreationsOfReon revealed that their X-wing isn't a fully canonical design, they imagined it using different types of engines and references from the movies.
"The engine is inspired by both a car engine and a rocket engine. There are a few bits based on a cross-section and what you see in the movies, mainly the fuel tank location, torpedo holder and launcher, and hyperdrive being at the back", shared the artist.
Apparently, rendering the entire project took about six hours on RTX 3080 with a Ryzen 3600X and 32GB of RAM. CreationsOfReon may expand on this project, so follow them on Reddit for all the updates.
