Create Jiggle Physics In Maya & Export To Unreal Engine 5 With This Tool
Download Bonjolt for free in beta.
Developed by TA Co., Bonjolt is a bone-based physics tool that helps add natural secondary motion, like hair, skirts, and accessories, to character models in Maya, with the ability to bring those setups into Unreal Engine 5.
It's built on Jolt Physics and focuses on being user-friendly: artists can see the results as they work and keep tweaking them with intuitive controls until the motion feels right. Once set up, the physics settings can be exported and reused in other Maya scenes or imported into the engine. In Unreal, they're used in AnimGraph to create real-time swaying during runtime.
Bonjolt is suitable for both cinematic use and gameplay characters. It provides a straightforward way to add physics to multiple bones at once, along with options for collision, pass-through behavior, wind effects, and more.
The tool is currently in beta and available as a free download for testing. It requires Maya 2024 on Windows with Unreal Engine 5.7. Learn more about Bonjolt's features and download it here.
