Vizibeat is a plug-in that creates vibrant animations from music without keyframing.
Real-time 3D Technical Artist Andrea Carver shared a project that combines visual 3D art and music. Vizibeat is a plug-in that creates vibrant full-scene animations in Unreal Engine based on music beats, without keyframing a single beat.
As the artist explains, the tedious, repetitive parts of the workflow are automated. The plug-in works procedurally. On the website, you can check out examples of the animations created for different tracks. The visual tools adapt to the rhythm and style of the music, and cameras, lights, materials, and particles can each follow a different part of the music.
Artists can also pick an exact point in the song and place it on a timeline measured in bars and beats rather than frames, and then sketch the moment out by hand, tap it in live on a MIDI pad, or have Vizibeat generate an initial pass straight from the audio.
The technical part behind the audiovisual magic is a node graph with meaningful controls. Users don't need to delve into technical details and can choose the project style.
