Create Virtual Origami Figures Right with Your Foldable Phone

A fun way to reduce your screen's durability.

Foldable phones are definitely lots of fun, although their usefulness, considering their prices, is questionable. Well, there is one more thing you can do with the device thanks to Max Wase: create digital origami pieces using the screen to fold paper.

Wase presented Kami, a free, open-source paper-folding simulator (no, we are not going to talk about the differences between origami and paper folding) that reacts to the screen folding and its direction.

Don't worry: if you don't have a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, Flip, or another similar device, you can still play the game on any other smartphone in a non-Chrome browser and fold paper by using a button. There is a demo if you wish to try it out.

As a foldable phone user, I'm slightly horrified by the thought of decreasing my screen's durability, but I can totally see how entertaining it can be.

Find Kami here and don't forget to subscribe to our Newsletter and join our 80 Level Talent platform, follow us on TwitterLinkedInTelegram, and Instagram, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
