Cyberpunk 2077 Is Getting a Standalone VR Experience
CD PROJEKT RED and Zero Latency VR will bring Night City to virtual reality.
Great news for all fans of the cyberpunk aesthetic, and particularly those familiar with CD PROJEKT RED's RPG set in Night City, Cyberpunk 2077 – the game is soon making its way into virtual reality.
Zero Latency VR has teamed up with CD PROJEKT RED to bring the world of Cyberpunk 2077, which became CDPR's top-performing title, to virtual reality, offering an atmospheric and immersive experience. The project is described as a "new standalone VR experience," meaning it will not be a direct translation of the original PC game but rather an entirely separate experience built from the ground up for virtual reality.

Players will be able to step into the shoes of characters within a "living, breathing 360-degree world" and take in its neon-lit, gritty aesthetic. The game will be created specifically for Zero Latency VR's free-roam technology and will allow players to physically move together through a shared space. Tim Ruse, CEO of Zero Latency VR, says that Cyberpunk 2077, with its richly detailed world, aligns with Zero Latency VR's other projects.
CD PROJEKT RED
As of now, CD PROJEKT RED and Zero Latency VR have not announced a release date, so fans of the franchise will have to wait a little longer for further details.
