The game got a new boost of attention.
Cyberpunk 2077 Quest Director Paweł Sasko has thanked players for giving the game another chance after it got over 85,000 concurrent players – the greatest result after its release.
In case you missed it, Cyberpunk 2077 found its second wind when the Edgerunners anime came out, followed by the 1.6 patch introducing new content and the ability to customize your outfits slot by slot. The announcement of the upcoming Phantom Liberty expansion might have also affected the numbers.
Answering streamer Cohh Carnage's question about whether or not he should replay the game after a long pause or wait for the update, Sasko said that "there is no bad solution" as there were many patches released after the first one.
Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077's numbers are rising, with positive reviews and higher sales following the game's newfound popularity. It even jumped to the second position in the weekly top selling games on Steam by revenue.
