CD PROJEKT RED announced Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion amid the game's popularity boost after the Edgerunners anime release. The company is trying to attract both new audiences and those familiar with the title as it reveals that Phantom Liberty will be the biggest DLC in its history in terms of budget.
Talking to Parkiet, CD PROJEKT RED also confirmed that the work on the expansion is going according to plan. Unfortunately, it wasn't disclosed when Phantom Liberty will be out, but community director Marcin Morton said that we will hear about the game's scope in the future.
The DLC's high budget is not that surprising considering it stars Keanu Reeves and Idris Elba, who will play a character called Solomon Reed. So far, it is not clear how much was spent on the expansion, but we are looking forward to seeing what it resulted in.
