Check out this appetizing visualization of a chocolate ice cream that looks like an advertisement for the treat. This incredible setup was crafted by Motion Designer/FX Artist Milo Vandenaweele and was inspired by ManVsMachine.
The ice cream was made in Houdini, textured in Substance 3D Painter, rendered using Karma XPU, and composited in Blackmagic Fusion.
The artist explained that he made a milk chocolate tileable texture with some basic noises based on reference. Then, he used a color correct in Karma to make a white and a dark version. For the ice cream itself, the creator used these textures and also adjusted their color.
