Detailed Gameplay of Rumored Crysis Next & Nanosuit 3.0 Leaked
Players are not impressed with this canceled project.
Recently, some gameplay footage from codenamed Crysis Next, a rumored free-to-play third-person battle royale game set in the Crysis universe, has been leaked online.
A few videos show the gameplay clips from the early development period of the game, as proven by the raw environment and map design. In this 13-minute video, players start with a selection of three different classes: the Frontliner, Technician, and Flanker, and they can customize their nanosuits — the powerful suits with advanced technologies that will increase the strength, speed, and defense abilities of the soldiers. This unlisted video showcases what the nanosuit 3.0 looks like in Crysis Next.

Instead of feeling sorry for the canceled project, some fans express their rejoicing that the developer decided to drop it off, as they feel it is simply too “generic.” “Wow. Looks distinctively not Crysis. Is this some kinda third-person hero shooter or a Hunger Game? Either way, it's not confidence inspiring,” says Reddit user trasshghost.
Crytek
Rumors about this canceled project started to show up in 2020 when battle royale was a trendy style for shooting games, and that might be the reason why developer Crytek considered giving it a try. However, there was never an official announcement for this multiplayer game. Nine years after the launch of Crysis 3 in 2013, Crytek announced Crysis 4 and assigned a “great team” to work on it. The game is still in development, though news regarding it has been scarce.
