Dev of Delphinium, an Octopath Traveler-Style Farm Sim, Shared New Updates

See how this peaceful farming simulation game evolved.

Delphinium is a 2.5D pixelated RPG with a story of Haiyan, a young woman who isolated herself in her childhood house following a personal tragedy. It first caught our attention a few months ago for its graphic style which is reminiscent of Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default.

Sev, the indie developer behind Delphinium, recently shared more insights about the game, including frequently asked questions, striking music, an improved user interface and more. Let's follow her to explore this unique farming simulator that boasts a rich narrative.

In an informative thread, Sev addressed questions that are often asked about the game. Intriguingly, she revealed that Delphinium follows a concise style, and it's projected to offer about 15 hours of gameplay, although this could change.

Sev also introduced the talented starling, the other member in the team responsible for the game's music. The beautifully composed tracks lend Delphinium a unique charm. Here are some of the delightful original soundtracks created by starling:

Additionally, Sev demonstrated how players can feed chocolate to the protagonist in-game:

Sev has also been working on enhancing the game's UI. The interactive boards and the gorgeous branch effect upon clicking are particularly noteworthy:

Here are more demos from the game to show its animations and features:

Looking forward, Sev announced that they've got some "cool things planned in the next few months." The release date is yet to be confirmed and a Steam page for Delphinium might come a bit later. If you'd like to follow up the development of the game, feel free to follow the developer on Twitter.
