CG/VFX Artist and student at Japan Electronics College FloorYUKA has recently shared a short demo, showcasing an impressive setup that looks like an enhanced version of Google Earth.
Leveraging Unreal Engine and Photorealistic 3D Tiles, a new geodata tool developed by Google and Cesium that offers a seamless 3D mesh model of our entire planet, the creator managed to set up a digital copy of Earth that runs in real-time, which the developer plans to use "for research".
