Enjoy Breakdown of Realistic Wave Simulation Made with Houdini

Yuki Ito showed how the heavy project was done.

Yuki Ito creates incredible water simulations, and you can get a glimpse of what was happening in Houdini in their recent project, wild waves crashing against the cliff. 

One of the most impressive parts is how heavy the scene is, with hundreds of GB of data spent for the mesh, foam, and FLIP simulation.

As usual, in the end, Ito produced an immaculate simulation that looks as real as physically possible, adding it to their already vast collection, including fantasy water, ocean foamwaves visualization, a running river setupfantasy river simulations, and a downwash effect from a hovering helicopter, which you can find on their X/Twitter:
