Expect More Mods with Bethesda's Starfield Creation Kit

A powerful way to customize the game.

Modding is going to be much easier now with the Creation Kit for Starfield introduced by Bethesda in a new update. This is a free editor that allows players to make Creations (basically mods) and share them with others across Bethesda.net.

"It's the same tool that we use to create the game and we're putting the power to create new content in your hands – new quests, environments, characters, dialogue, weapons, and more," said the studio.

It's not quite a surprise as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4 also have Creation Kits, so such a development was expected.

To use these mods, you'll need to spend (and first buy) Creation Credits. The owners of Starfield's Premium Edition received 1,000 Credits, lucky them.

Other than that, the update introduces new missions, the bounty scanner system, new melee weapon tiers, and the ability to modify melee weapons when crafting.
