Explore This Incredible Macro 3D Gaussian Splat Bumblebee

Dany Bittel shared his fantastic work.

3D Gaussian Splatting is a fascinating technology that lets you capture people, places, and scenes, like interiors or landscapes, and then bring them back whenever you want, or even mix them into creative projects with other tools. Macro photography is also possible, just like this incredible bumblebee scan by Dany Bittel proves.

The artist shared that this is his third attempt at a macro splat, using RawTherapee, Zerene Stacker, DaVinci Fusion, Colmap, and Postshot. The bumblebee is still a work in progress, but you can take a closer look through this link.
