External Game Dev Partner Room 8 Group Appoints Juanita Draude as New CEO

Room 8 Group has appointed Juanita Draude as CEO, marking a new phase of growth for the external game development partner as it focuses on integrated, technology-driven production.

Room 8 Group has announced the appointment of Juanita Draude as Chief Executive Officer, marking the next stage of growth for the external game development partner. Draude succeeds Anna Kozlova, who led the company for seven years as it evolved into a global external development organization.

Recently, Room 8 Group has worked on games like South of Midnight, Pax Dei, RoboCop: Rogue City, Life is Strange, and many more.

Draude brings more than 20 years of experience across media, technology, and entertainment, with previous leadership roles at Monks, Publicis Groupe, the NBA, and NBC Universal.

According to Room 8 Group, her background includes commercial growth, AI-aided transformation, and scaling global operations, areas that align with the company’s focus on becoming a more integrated, technology-driven production partner for game developers and publishers.

“I’m excited to step into this role at such an important moment for both Room 8 Group and the industry as a whole. Games today are built through increasingly complex, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and our focus is on evolving Room 8 Group into a truly integrated, technology-driven partner that can support developers and publishers across the full production lifecycle.”

- Juanita Draude

Draude added that her experience in media, entertainment, and advertising reinforced the importance of building long-term partnerships around audience experiences, which she said will remain central to Room 8 Group’s direction.

Room 8 Group provides external game development services across game development, technology, art, trailers, and QA for AAA and AA games. Founded in 2011, the company has worked with publishers including Microsoft, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Sony, Gameloft, Take-Two, and EA, and has contributed to franchises such as Call of Duty, Diablo, Assassin’s Creed, Star Trek, The Walking Dead, and Doctor Who.

The company now has around 1,000 creatives across Europe, North America, and South America.
