The recently leaked screenshots of the long-rumored Oblivion Remake, which Virtuos Games accidentally uploaded to its website, are seen as an unofficial announcement or confirmation of the game's existence for fans. This not only excites Oblivion players but has also spread happiness among Fallout fans, because it almost confirms the information from the leaked internal document from Bethesda is accurate.
But excitement aside, don't set anticipation high yet. According to insider NateTheHate, Fallout 3 Remaster might not be released any time soon.
NateTheHate2, which is the official account of Nate the Hate, replied to an inquiry on Twitter about news regarding the rumored game (spotted by a Reddit user StockMan1210). "It'll be a while before we see it," they said. Although this might be a little disappointing, at least it sounds like it is happening.
The leaked internal document said that Oblivion Remake, or what now should be called "remastered," was set for the fiscal year 2022, which ended June 30, 2022, and if the rumored April release is true, there is a nearly three-year gap between the document and reality. The Fallout 3 Remaster was targeted for fiscal year 2024, so a similar gap could be expected.
Some fans are speculating a late 2026 release window, around the time when the second season of the Fallout TV series would be released. Yet we don't have official information on that either, although some outlets have a deduction of 2026 at the earliest.
