Fallout: New Vegas Will Look Better Than Ever with RTX Revamp
Meet fully path-traced Mojave.
Obsidian
I was a late bloomer when it comes to Fallout in general and New Vegas in particular, finishing the game only last year. While it still looked pretty good to me (but I'm not one to complain about graphics, mind you), it would benefit from a good facelift, and we will get it soon.
Modder skurtyyskirts is preparing a visual overhaul of NV with full ray tracing, physically-based materials, and enhanced assets, "all while honoring the original's timeless, gritty aesthetic."
"This is a complete remastering effort to create the definitive path-traced New Vegas experience."

It features:
- Fully Path-Traced Mojave: Experience the Mojave Wasteland with breathtaking realism. The scorching desert sun, the neon glow of the New Vegas Strip, and the dusty interiors of abandoned vaults are all rendered with physically accurate shadows, reflections, and global illumination.
- Full PBR Material Overhaul: Nearly every asset has been meticulously upgraded with Physically-Based Rendering (PBR) materials. See the realistic gleam of a Sunset Sarsaparilla bottle, the deep grit of rusted metal, the worn texture of leather armor, and the grime of the wasteland like never before.
- Hand-Crafted Wasteland Assets: In this latest version, iconic weapons, armor, and terminals have been completely remastered by hand in Substance 3D Painter, offering unparalleled quality that respects the original designs.
- Enhanced Lighting & Atmosphere: This latest update adds dynamic "sun-shafts" through broken rooftops and implements per-light volumetrics, making interiors feel appropriately dusty and atmospheric.
- High-Fidelity Details: From irradiated water puddles that realistically reflect the broken world to cracked asphalt roads with full height-map details, every surface has been considered to enhance immersion.
- A Nod to the Tech: As a tribute to the technology that makes this possible, your Pip-Boy and certain active computer terminals will now feature subtle NVIDIA green accents and glows.
The mod is still in development, but you can try its demo to see the improvements for yourself.

NVIDIA's RTX Remix gave another life to many old games, like Half-Life 2, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and Need for Speed: Underground.
